PriMiTiVe GrUnGy HALLOWEEN BAT, WITCH HAT, PUMPKIN GATHERING
Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Halloween Offerings. Here we have a Primitive grungy Halloween gathering of Three Bats, A White Pumpkin and a Witch's Hat. This piece would display nicely as a centerpiece, shelf sitter or entry greeter measuring 23" tall and 15" wide and 11" deep. I have created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. The pumpkin is sewn from muslin, stuffed with fiberfill and sculpted by sectioning with floss string. It has been paint-washed in antique white, then baked, sanded, and aged with a grunge mixture of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon, baked again, followed with a sprinkling of cinnamon. A tree branch is used for the stem and extends upward to support the flying bats. Green floral moss, orange and black pip berry, and Sweet Annie sprouting from the center give this that wonderful fragrance. Now for the Witch's Hat....It has been sewn from muslin, scrunched, and paint-washed in black, then baked, sanded, and aged with a grunge mixture of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon, baked again, followed with a sprinkling of cinnamon. I have embellished the hat with rusty tin star garland and a scarf of aged cheese cloth, Finally, the three Bats....they are sewn from muslin, stuffed, and needle-sculpted in their flying position. They were all aged with the same process, then attached with rusty tin wire and to the tree branch to appear as if they have just taken flight.I have given this piece a Prim Tag that has been stained in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon mixture, carefully burned the edges with a flame, and stamped the words in black, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".This piece has been lovingly made by me from a pattern created by Tennesse Ridge Primitives.

PriMiTiVe GRUNGY HALLOWEEN HEADLESS HORSEMAN GATHERING
AVAILABLE BY SPECIAL ORDER: Here we have a Set of three Extreme Primitive Grungy Halloween Gathering Pieces consisting of the Headless Horseman, The Sleepy Hollow Road Sign and The Big Harvest Pumpkin that I have fondly named "Sleepy Hollow". This set would display nicely as a centerpiece with your Halloween Decor. It measures 11" tall and 15" wide and 8" deep when displayed together. All pieces are made separately for easy storage. I created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. All Pieces were paint-washed, sanded and stained in a coffee-vanilla-cinnamon grungy solution, baked and followed with a dusting of dry cinnamon. The Headless horseman is sewn from muslin and stuffed tightly with fiberfill. I have paint-washed his body and his cape in black and his pumpkin head in pumpkin orange. His cape is stiff to give the appearance of it flying behind him as he rides. His facial features are hand-painted in black. His separate arms and legs are made individually and sewn onto his body and he is attached positioning him seated and riding on his horse. The horse's body is sewn from muslin, stuffed tightly, and given a needle-sculpted mane. I have paint-washed his body and his mane and tail in black. His individual legs were stitched on to pose him in a rearing position. The Road Sign was sewn from muslin backed with cotton batting with quilted edges. To give it the appearance of an old plank of wood, I have paint-washed in in buttermilk and streaked it with brown and black lines and printed the letters "Sleepy Hollow" with black paint. The sign is mounted onto a tree branch and then to an antique doorknob that serves as a makedo base. Green floral moss was adhered to the stick for a woodland look. The Harvest Pumpkin is sewn from multi-sectional muslin pieces to form the roundness, weighted with sand, and stuffed tightly. The surface is paint-washed pumpkin orange and rubbed with lots of cinnamon grunging solution. The two pumpkin leaves are cut from muslin, paint-washed in leaf green, stained with grunge, and adhered to a tree branch that forms the stem and a bit of green moss was used here also. I have given this piece a Prim Tag that I have dipped in coffee-vanilla-cinnamon stain, baked and topped with a vintage Halloween greeting card image showing a black cat surrounded by jackolanterns and a witch broom that says, "Merry Hallowe'en". I have bordered the image with orange German Glass Glitter to give it a bit of sparkle. The tag is tied around the doorknob makedo base. This piece has been lovingly made by me using a pattern designed by Prairie Harvest Arts.
