PRIMITIVEFOLKARTAMERICANARAGGEDYANNDOLL
Here we have a Primitive Folk Art Americana Annie that I have fondly named Old Raggedy Doll. This piece measures approximately 9 in tall and 6 in wide and 3 in deep. She is perfect for display in your country farmhouse during the Fourth of July celebration or year-round in your Americana home decor. I have created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. Her body is sewn from tea-dyed muslin into a pillow-style with heavy coffee-vanilla staining where Old Raggedy Doll is prim-stitched in red floss along the bottom. Her facial features are painted on, with a rusty red nose and black dip-dot eyes, her cheeks are blushed, and her Raggedy mouth is prim stitched with black floss. Raggedy Red bumpy wool yarn is used for her tossled hair and sewn to the top of her head. Her dress features navy blue and tan star fabric that is gathered at the top and embellished with deep burgundy buttons stitched on with navy floss and adorned with a rusty tin heart. Her scarf is cut from vintage antique cluny lace that I have tea-dyed and draped around her neck. I have given this piece a primitive tag, aged with coffee-vanilla-cinnamon stain that I have pinned to her dress with a rusty safety pin. I have carefully burnt the edges with a flame and topped it with a nostalgic print of a vintage greeting card showing the Libery Bell and 2 American Flags crossed. This design will come to you dated, signed and tagged with my own label.

PRIM*HALLOWEEN*MOUSE*WITCH*BOOT*RIDE*STOCKING
Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Halloween Offerings. Here we have a Primitive Folk Art Whimsical Halloween Witch Mouse riding in a Witch Boot that I have fondly named "Who Needs A Broom". This piece would display nicely as a wallhanging anywhere with your Halloween Decor and it measures 24" tall and 15" wide and 5" deep. I created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. The mouse's soft sculptured body is sewn from cotton batting, stuffed with fiberfill and aged in my coffee-vanilla-cinnamon solution, then baked. She features a black embroidered nose and tiny black beads for eyes and black stiffened floss whiskers. I have stitched on her ears and given her a black felt Witch hat that I sprinkled with silver German Glass Glitter. Her cape is cut from cheesecloth that I have dyed black and stiffened with a collar. Her long tail features twisted rusty wire that I have curled at the end with a tiny rusty bell attached. Black pearl cording was used for the rope reins that are wrapped around the mouse's arms with dangling rusty bells for weight. She sits atop the boot nestled in green floral moss for a very comfy ride. The big black Witch Boot was sewn from muslin, paint-washed black, sanded, aged with the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon solution and dusted with cinnamon, then baked. I have lined the boot with a black and cream plaid flannel which forms the cuff of the boot and the decorative boot flap on the front. The decorative cuff's fringe was made from black flannel that I have cut into strips and sprinkled with silver German Glass Glitter and sewn to the bottom of the cuff. I have adorned the cuff with a silver and black brad with a "W" letter for "witch". Silver Star brads border the edges of the boot flap. A large rusty bell dangles from the tip of the witch boot. A quilted set of wings extend off the back of the boot heel. These are machine-quilted, painted black, aged, dusted with cinnamon and sprinkled with silver German Glass Glitter. I have given this piece a Prim Tag that has been stained in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon mixture and printed with the saying "Who Needs A Broom" in black letters. I have sewn fine vintage black tinsel to the edges of the tag to border it with a bit of sparkle. This piece has been lovingly made by me from a pattern designed by Pea Picker's Primitives. This piece has been lovingly made by me from a pattern created by Pea Picker Primitives.

PRIM*WITCH*OWL*HARVEST*MOON
Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Halloween Offerings. Here we have a Primitive grungy Halloween gathering of a Harvest Moon and an Olde Witch Owl sitting on a tree branch with Olde Autumn Leaves. This piece would display nicely as a wall hanging or door greeter measuring 15" tall and 15" wide and 4" deep. I have created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. The Olde Owl is sewn from muslin, stuffed with fiberfill and needle-sculpted along his nose. He has been aged with a grunge mixture of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon and baked, followed with a sprinkling of cinnamon, and baked again. His wings are layered and sewn to his body and black shiney buttons are used for his eyes. He is anchored to the tree branch with rusty tin wire and a rusty safety pin closes his wings at the front. He wears a Witch Hat over one ear that I have paint-washed in black, sanded, aged in the coffee-vanila-cinnamon solution and sprinkled with cinnamon. A rusty tin star dangles from the tip of his hat with rusty wire and rusty star garland wraps around the crown. Amongst the spanish moss scattered along the tree branch, I have wired three Olde Autumn Leaves that were cut from muslin and aged in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon mixture. Sprigs of fragrant Sweet Annie sprout from the right side of the owl.For the Harvest Moon, it has been sewn from muslin, paint-washed in antique gold and deep yellow, then baked, sanded, stiffened and aged with the grunge mixture, followed with a sprinkling of cinnamon. It was then wired to the owl and a rusty wire hanger was attached at the back. I have given this piece a Prim Tag that has been stained in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon mixture, baked, carefully burned the edges with a flame, and prim-printed in black "Olde Owl 1708". This piece has been lovingly made by me from a pattern created by Tennesse Ridge Primitives. This design will come to you dated, signed and tagged with my own label Collectibles by Joan which states The Handcrafting and Time Invested in this Piece are its Own Mark of Quality.
