SHABBY CHIC ANGEL DOLL~VINTAGE LINENS Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to visit my New Shabby Chic Offerings. This is my Primitive Shabby Vintage Keepsake Linen Angel that I have fondly named "Abbey". She is completely designed and handmade by me with very special attention to detail and design. She measures 11" long and 7" wide.For that extra special touch, I have used a vintage linen tea towel for her gown. This one-of-a kind design features a soft white linen with ornately embroidered pastel floral and cutwork designs. I have carefully pieced the tea towel to form a full length gown with a gathered neckline using pink pearl cording. Her head and arms are sewn from pink cotton and her cheeks are blushed. Her primitive eyes are black dip-dot paint, and the sparkle on her cheeks is antique white paint. I have drawn her eyelashes and brows with a fine tipped black pigma pen. Her hair features the finest mohair white yarn that I have gathered into loops and tied in the center. Her halo is made of gold ming wire for a dainty look. Her arms are knotted as if she were praying.Her stiffened quilted wings are cut from the remnant of an antique, hand-stitched cutter quilt. She hangs on the wall by way of a loop at the back of her head or she is sittable and can also be used as a tuck. I have give her a primitive hang tag that I aged in a coffee-vanilla stain and adhered an image of single yellow Victorian rose that I have bordered with clear German Glass Glitter to give it a bit of sparkle.She will be perfect for your display of collectible angels, and year round in your Shabby Chic Cottage, Victorian or Country home. 	PRIM PATCHWORK QUILTED ROOSTER MAKEDO Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Prim Offerings. Here we have a Primitive Folk Art Patchwork Rooster Doll Makedo. This piece would display nicely as a centerpiece, shelf sitter, or placed on a bureau, table or halltree. The rooster measures 13" tall, 10" wide and 5" deep and would be perfect for your farmhouse kitchen and would also make a wonderful house-warming or bridal shower gift.The Rooster's body is sewn from a pieced patchwork of different fabrics; barn red cotton solid, hunter green and black gingham check, and a golden mottled print. The facial markings are cut from barn red cotton and adhered to the head while the cone and wattle are made separately from looped strips of barn red cotton and sewn into the seams of the head. The sewn-in barn red wings are quilted with sewn-in strips of matching colored coordinating fabric are frayed along the edges, wet and dried in a dryer to make them curly. The fluffy tail is formed from several coordinating fabric strips, wet and dried curly and sewn into the seams of the rear of the rooster. Black beads were stitched on for the eyes. A wooden block was cut, sanded, stained and drilled for the dowel to form the Makedo base. Natural excelsior was adhered around the base of the dowel that is inserted into the bottom of the rooster. I have given the Chick a primitive tag that I have coffee-stained and inked the edges with brown pigma ink and adhered a green print background with an image of a colorful rooster that says "Rise-N-Shine". The hang tag is attached to the dowel and says "Amberley Farm Exhibition", "First Prize", "Poultry Sold Here". The mate to this rooster, the Prim Patchwork Hen & Eggs, are offered in another listing. Here we have a primitive Potpourri-filled Garden Angel perfect for your Spring and Summer Garden display. She measures 9" tall and 5" wide.I have sewn her soft sculptured head from tea-dyed muslin, painted her eyes, and sewn her puffy gathered dress and arms from a soft quilt-quality homespun plaid in green and gold. An opening in the back provides access to the yummy- scented Apple Cinnamon Potpourri filled chamber. You can easily freshen the fragrance through this opening with your potpourri oils. I have given her locks of hair made of fluffy loopy locks in raggedy red that I have pulled into pigtails on each side with green pearl cording. A tiny grapevine wreath forms her halo embellished with a tiny wooden garden pot of Sweet Annie with a wonderful fragrance. Her wooden wings were painted in an antique gold to match her dress. She is holding a tiny grapevine wreath where I tucked a spanish moss nest where a tiny cardinal rests. I have created a small bird seed bag attached to her dress and given her a prim tag with pics of an apple and cinnamon sticks and the lettering "Apple Cinnamon Potpourri". She hangs from doubled curly black wire that attaches to her wings.This whimsical garden angel would make the perfect gift for the Angel Collector or to brighten up your Spring or Summer Garden decor in your country or farm house home.
