The Primitive Trunk

	Here's Humpty Dumpty... This big folk art doll is made from muslin, he's been stained and painted and then put thru my aging process. I drew his face on and used good quality artists' pencils and then I sprayed his face to seal it good. So, that big fat smile will stay for years and years;) He is 33-34inches tall from his hat to his toes. When he sits on the table he is 17inches tall from table to top of his hat. I measured his round belly to be about 28.5 inches! Yes, he's a big round fella. His clothes are made from painted muslin. I painted his legs too. His legs, arms and pants and bow tie are all stitched on, not glued. Oh, his hat is also stitched on, but I did use a little glue around his hat decorations...I wrapped a piece of dirty stained muslin around the bottom of his hat and then some rusty wire with rusty stars, big ones, medium and small ones too. Can you tell I was having fun with the rusty wire and stars? I also made him a big hangtag and pinned it on with a rusty pin and bell. Olde Saltbox Cutting Board This is an old cutting board I found and I have cleaned it very well with bleach and then I only stained and painted the one side you see. I used a John Sliney design and I'm happy with the way it turned out. It's paint is cracking and then stained good, so it looks nice and old. It's a biggie too, 20 x 10 inches. 	Olde Heirloom Bear 1867 This Big Olde Grungy Bear sits up straight and is 13.5 inches tall sitting. He is made from plush felt and has quite of bit of his fur rubbed off and I stained him with a dark stain. He looks very old and loved I think. His arms are moveable but his legs are not...they stay in place to keep him sitting straight. I wrapped a scarf made of homespun around his neck and pinned his hangtag on with a rusty pin. I used a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern to make him. He would look great sitting on a bed or cuddled up with some other prim dolls in your collection. I ship to the USA only ~ and it's FREE SHIPPING!!! Spring Chicken Ornies I have made these prim Chicken Ornies from my own design and I used a nice heavy mustard colored wool fabric. As you can see in the pics, I handstitched their wings in place. They measure about 6.5"long x 5"tall, give or take a bit. They have been heavily stained and sprinkled with spices and made dirty and grungy, just like we like em!! 	Primitive Black Folk Art Doll Meet Rosemary, she's a wonderful black folk art doll that I created using a Threadbare Primitives pattern. She's a cutie for sure...much cuter in person than the pics. She is made from stained muslin that I painted and stained and sanded again. Her clothes are a very good quality cotton fabric; her skirt has cherries all over it. She has a grungy rabbit doll with a star patch to match her clothes and her cute lil nose:) Her eyes are vintage buttons and have muslin underneath them. Her hair is just awesome and I'm sorry you can't tell in this pic, but it's great! It is 100% raw sheeps wool and it's felted on and her bow is handstitched in place. Those wonderful curls are all natural!! Rosemary is 17 inches long and her rabbit is almost 8 inches long. Primitive Hand Painted Pie Pan This is a very well used vintage pie pan, or pie plate if you wish;) I have painted on the back side to use as a collectible display piece only. I used a John Sliney design and I'm pleased with how it turned out. After I sealed it I used a good coat of Briwax on the top layer...so it doesn't look shiny, it looks olde and prim:) I had hubby drill a little hole in the top for hanging, or you could certainly just use a plate holder or rest on a shelf. I enjoyed painting this project and love the way this old worn pie pan could be put to a good use again. Price - $15.00
