Eleanor the English Rag Doll
I would like to introduce you to Eleanor who is a traditional English rag doll based on an 18th century design. She is wearing a cotton nightgown and matching nightbonnet which are both made out of white cotton and finished with Nottingham lace. Eleanor is 18inches tall and comes complete with her little fleece slippers in case her feet get cold. Her face has been finished in the traditional way using hand embroidery, which makes this doll safe for children as well as a collectors item. Eleanor is stuffed with polyester stuffing instead of the more traditional rags in order to keep her weight down for shipping. I am happy to take orders for other English rag dolls wearing 18th Century clothing and will also stuff them with rags if you wish though this will reflect in the shipping price. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Set of two lavender scented pin keeps
This is a set of two pin keeps. The larger one measures six inches by four and a half inches and the smaller one measures five inches by four inches. The larger of the two is made from navy blue splatter dyed cotton and the smaller one is made from homespun. The smaller pin keep has a piece of fabric attached which says pins. Both of the pin keeps have been stuffed with a mixture of polyester filling and English lavender. The two are tied together with a piece of raffia and they have a primitive label attached. The lavender will stay fresh for ages and if they seem to lose their scent just give them a little prod and they will soon smell good again.

Large Primitive Pear pincushion
This pear pincushion measures just under 14 inches high. It was made out of homespun with a plain fabric being used for the stem and leaf. I have attached an old curtain hook, an old button and a vintage shoe buckle to it with pins. I have also attached a primitive tag with vintage red raffia.

Mob Cap
I made this mob cap in the style which would have been worn by girls and women to cover their heads whilst sleeping in the times of Laura Engels Wilder and Little House On the Prairie. It can be used as a decoration or as a sun bonnet for a young baby. I made it with an extra wide brim so that if it is used as a baby's sun bonnet it will keep the harmful rays of the sun out of the eyes.

Stacking crows on Pineapple
This item consists of 3 grubby crows stacked onto of a pineapple. I hand quilted the fabric for the pineapple and painted it with acrylics before staining it with walnut crystals and cinnamon. I also painted the leaves with a mixture of green acrylic paint, cinnamon and walnut crystals. The leaves contain wire so that they retain their shape. The crows were also painted with a mixture of acrylic paint, walnut crystals and cinnamon. I hand quilted the beaks and painted them antique gold and then grubbied them up. The whole thing measures 19 inches from top to tip.
